Joseph Seed je sektářský kněz a kazatel který ovládá region severní Montany, Hope County ve hře Far Cry 5. Společně se svými bratry Jacobem a Johnem Seedem ovládají dva vojenské regiony , regionu Hope County. O třetí region se stará Josephova nevlastní sestra Faith Seedová. Joseph se snaží prosadit křesťanskou víru všem aby je mohl zachránit před kolapsem ( koncem světa, psaném v bibli. Ve Far cry 5 myšlena jaderná válka). Jenže jeho fanatismus každý nedokáže přehlédnout a tak se snaží vzdorovat. Všechny jeho proslovy ve Far cry 5 : První konfrontace : Something is coming. You can feel it, can’t you?
