Jaroslav Svoboda (*September 2, 1973, Prague) is a Czech businessman, hotelier and the owner of Czech Inn Hotels, a chain of 26 hotels (2600 rooms, 6000 beds) and several restaurants.

Education and professional beginnings editovat

He started working at the age of 18 after he graduated from the hotel school in Prague and vocational school in Lomnice u Tišnova. He has worked in several hotels and restaurants in Prague and abroad. For several years he took on basic hospitality positions to gain as much operational experience as possible. He worked his way up from being a waiter, to kitchen work leading to promotion as reception supervisor. Further promotions led to the position of F&B manager in several first-class restaurants in Prague.

At the age of 26, he got a position as sales assistant in a company operating a conference and social centre in Prague. After a year and a half he was promoted to the position of sales manager. He subsequently worked as a hotel director (70 rooms) in an international chain.

Business and career Czech Inn Hotels editovat

When he was 28 he started his own business and founded Czech Inn Hotels with his British business partner. They started with one regional hotel, in Harrachov Giant Mountains, to which they subsequently added others. The company soon became the largest chain in the region with 5 hotels and 3 restaurants. The company acquired the first hotel in Prague during the 2008 crisis. During the next 3 years, Czech Inn Hotels took over 5 more hotels. In 2013 the company bought a share in one of the most prestigious hotels in Prague - the Kempinski Hotel, now The Grand Mark luxury hotel in the Palác Věžníků (Hybernská) building. Czech Inn invested in a new five-star hotel in central Lisbon in 2014. The Company bought the current Don Giovanni, one of the largest hotels in Prague, from the international Dorint network in 2015. In 2016 Czech Inn Hotels accommodated more than 1,000,000 guests in Prague and became the largest Prague hotel company the same year. During the covid-19 pandemic, the network came up with so-called covid hotels.

In 2022 the chain includes 26 hotels (2,600 rooms, 6,000 beds) and several restaurants.

The chain accommodated its 15 millionth guest in Prague in June 2022.

Czech Inn Hotels owns hotels of 3-5 stars category and several restaurants. In 2021 Le Grill Restaurant was placed second in the "Pitch Perfect" rankings on TripAdvisor.
