[[Osmanská říše]] (předchůdce dnešního [[Turecko|Turecka]]) dekriminalizovalo homosexualitu v r. 1858. * 12. červen 2016 - Nejméně 49 lidí bylo zavražděno a 50 zraněno během [[Masakr v Orlandu 2016|střelby]] v nočním klubu [[Pulse (noční klub)|Pulse]] v Orlandu, stát Florida. Jednalo se o nejsmrtelnější [[Masová přestřelka|masovou přestřelku]] uskutečněnou jedním útočníkem a nejsmrtelnější případ násilí proti LGBT komunitě v historii Spojených států. Střelec [[Omar Mateen]] se přihlásil k ISILu.
