English: Yehuda Kopolevitz Almog - Pioneer and leader of Gdud Ha'Avoda, a socialist Zionist work group. Founder of the potash mining industry in the Dead Sea and of Kibbutz Beit HaArava. Was the first Tamar head of the council. Kibbutz Almog near the Dead Sea is named after him.
עברית: יהודה קולופביץ אלמוג היה חלוץ ומנהיג גדוד העבודה. היה ממקימי חברת אשלג ארץ-ישראלית ליד ים המלח, ומחלוצי קיבוץ בית הערבה. שימש כראש המועצה הראשון של המועצה האזורית תמר. על שמו קיבוץ אלמוג ליד ים המלח.
