English: Upper body profile portrait of the Maori warrior chief Te Rangihaeata with moko and with three huia feathers in his hair, an albatross feather (pohoi toroa) and greenstone drop (whakakai) earring in his right ear. He wears a cloak made of feathers (kahu huruhuru) with a braided top edging, draped over his left shoulder and tied low across his breast

The second of a series of three portraits done of Te Rangihaeata by Heaphy in 1840. The first is in a private collection; the third is also held by the Library at C-025-022
