Флаг Министерства юстиции Российской Федерации представляет собой темно-зеленое прямоугольное полотнище с Государственным флагом Российской Федерации в крыже.

В правой половине полотнища изображен геральдический знак — эмблема Министерства юстиции Российской Федерации: золотой двуглавый орел с поднятыми вверх крыльями, увенчанный одной большой и двумя малыми коронами. Короны соединены золотой лентой. В правой лапе орла — золотой скипетр, в левой — золотая держава. На груди орла — фигурный щит с полем темно-зеленого цвета. В поле щита — золотой «столп Закона».

Отношение ширины флага к его длине — один к полутора. Отношение площади крыжа к площади флага — один к четырём. Отношение высоты эмблемы к ширине флага — один к двум.
