Nederlands: Deze tafelklok uit 1587 is het meesterwerk van de Neurenbergse klokkenmaker Paulus Schuster. De grote wijzerplaat aan de ene kant duidt het uur aan en is tevens een astrolabium, die aan de andere is een jaarkalender; De kliene wijzerplaten toont de dag van d eweek, het kwartier en minuut en dient ook als wekker. De zilveren figuren van Neptunus bewegen achtereenvolgens hun hoofd voor 15 seconden. De haan bovenaan kraait elk uur terwijl twee mannen op de klok slaan. Nederlands: This 1587 table clock is the masterpiece of the Nuremberg clock maker Paulus Schuster. The large dials on the one side are an hour indicator as well as an astrolabe, those on the other are an annual calendar. The small ancillary dials show the day of the week, quarter-hour and minute as well as serving to set the alarm and the striking mechanism. The silver figures of Neptune alternately move their heads ech minute for 15 seconds, and the rooster on the top crows at the full hour while two men strike the bells. |
