GP2 Series v roce 2005 byla první sezónou závodní série GP2 Series, která vznikla přejmenováním Formule 3000. Začala v italské Imole dne 23. dubna a skončila v Manáma v Bahrajnu dne 30. září. V sezóně zvítězil německý závodník Nico Rosberg před Finem Heikki Kovalainenem.
